What You Need Before You Start

Before setting up autopay, make sure you have:

  • Your Coopeguanacaste electricity and/or internet contract number

  • A Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card

  • Access to the CoopeVirtual / Coopeguanacaste app

Step 1: Download the CoopeVirtual App

Download the CoopeVirtual / Coopeguanacaste app and log in or create an account.

Step 2: Add Your Coopeguanacaste Contracts

Go to the payments section and look for favorite payments.

Add your electricity contract by selecting:

  1. Add

  2. Let’s begin

  3. Electricidad

  4. Electricidad Coopeguanacaste, R.L.

Enter your contract number, create an alias such as Electricity, and save it as a favorite payment.

If you also have Coopeguanacaste internet, repeat the same process and use an alias such as Internet

Step 3: Add Your Credit Card and Turn On Autopayment

Open each saved contract from the payment section and follow the prompts to add your payment method.

You should be able to use a Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card.

When processing the payment, select:

  • Save as favorite payment

  • Set as autopayment

Then process the payment and confirm the transaction goes through.

Step 4: Confirm Autopay Is Active

After setup, confirm that each contract is saved and connected to your card.

It is also a good idea to check again after the next billing cycle to make sure the automatic payment was processed correctly.
